Oceanside Pool House

The program for this project included a modest, barn-inspired pool house, a series of exterior ‘rooms’, the siting of the pool, and a gracious accessway from atop the existing site wall. The boundary between interior and exterior space is blurred, with a glass walls opening to to the pool patio to the east and another to the outdoor dining patio overlooking the ocean to the south. The kitchen window opens completely to an exterior bar. The pool house’s modest kitchen is supplemented by and outdoor kitchen. The bathroom opens to an outdoor shower. The long site stair provides a sense of precession, with perches along the way to relax and take in the view.
