Dragonfly

Block Island, RI

2022

This 1885 house was a collection of small rooms and small windows. A number of first floor interior walls were removed to create a sense of spaciousness. Large expanses of glass were added to capture breathtaking ocean views from almost anywhere in the house. 3 new bathrooms were created and the kitchen completely reimagined. This extensive renovation included only minor additions: a glass bay gave the dining room necessary space, daylight, and an ocean view and, upstairs, 2 small dormers transformed low-ceilinged bedrooms.
